SYNOPSIS

“Anytime, anywhere, you can meet them again.”
In a future world, the ‘Wonderland’ service – which uses AI to replicate people who have died – has become widespread. Baili signs up for Wonderland in order to hide her impending death from her young daughter. After an accident leaves her boyfriend Tae-ju in a coma, Jung-in passes the days chatting with an AI-revived version of Tae-ju who has become an astronaut in space. In this way it is possible for people to choose a life free from longing and sadness.

Wonderland’s head designer Hae-ri and her new colleague Hyun-soo busy themselves each day trying to help people who use the service to extend their precious memories. Hae-ri, who has co-habited with her AI parents from a young age, closely monitors the activities of the users, while Hyun-soo is startled to come across an unexpected secret while fulfilling a user’s request.

One day, Tae-ju miraculously awakes from his coma and returns to Jung-in’s side, but in his condition, everything seems strange and confusing to him. Faced with the new reality of living with Tae-ju, cracks begin to appear in Jung-in’s resolve.

Meanwhile Baili, who has been reborn as an archaeologist on an excavation site, talks often to her daughter on video calls and tries hard to relate to her as a friend. But the sudden cancellation of her service leads to an unexpected error…
